I have a huge love of books-buying them, reading them, making them. altering them. Here is some of my book related work.

 

Altered Calendar

 
I am doing a year long Round Robin with some artist friends. We are altering spiral bound calendars. I chose a really small one and covered it with a slip cover jacket I made from pieces from a vintage quilt. I appliqued the faerie on and then primitive embroidered as well.

My calendar came home bursting with artsy goodness. It's absolutely beautiful and an amazing treasure.
